I'd like to designate the Golden Braid home to my Compassionate Hedonism movement. This term began as an insignificant joke, but it grew on me with its terse and effective manner. I think it's possible to care about others and be incredibly self-indulgent. You just have to have the slightest bit of moderation to reserve room for consideration. It's not that bad. It looks like the term has been used in some political blogs as a complete joke, so I can establish it here as only a partial joke. Feel free to use it to justify any questionable behavior.
